Privacy Policy

Last updated September 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how QuizCademy ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our websites, applications, and services (the "Service"). We designed the Service for families, and we take particular care with student data. For students under 13, please also read our Children's Privacy notice.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details — a parent's name and email, and the student profiles a parent creates (such as first name, grade, and subjects).
  • Learning activity — answers, progress, hints used, and homework questions submitted.
  • Communications — messages you send us, including support and coaching requests.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed and features used, to operate and improve the Service.
  • Focus & attention signals — during a practice session we record when the practice tab or window loses and regains focus, and how often, so we can show the student and parent focus insights. We do not track activity outside the Service or see what a student switches to.
  • Device data — basic technical information such as browser type and general location derived from IP address, used for security and reliability.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service — deliver practice, homework help, coaching, and progress dashboards;
  • To personalize learning, such as adapting difficulty to a student;
  • To give students and parents insight into focus, consistency, and study habits;
  • To operate our business, including billing and customer support;
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student data to serve targeted advertising.

3. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Service providers — vendors who process data on our behalf (such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing) under contracts that limit their use of it.
  • Within a family — a parent can see the activity of the student profiles they manage.
  • Legal reasons — when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, remember your preferences, and keep the Service secure. We do not use them for third-party advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

5. Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it. As a general guide:

  • Account & student profiles — kept while your account is active, and deleted within 90 days of account closure (or sooner on request).
  • Learning activity & progress — kept while the account is active; removed with the account within the same 90-day window.
  • Payment records — retained for up to 7 years where required by tax and accounting law.
  • Job applications — kept for up to 12 months after a decision, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
  • Support messages — kept for up to 24 months.
  • Backups — deleted data may persist in encrypted backups, which are rotated out on a rolling 30-day cycle.

These periods can vary where the law requires it or to resolve a dispute. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, as described below.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. Learn more in our Security overview. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continually to protect your data.

7. Your choices and rights

You can review and update account information, and a parent can review or delete the student profiles they manage. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information. To make a request, contact us and we will respond as required by law.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
